Dynamic relaxation process of 3D super crystal structure in Cu:KTN crystal

Abstract

In this paper, we report the existence and relaxation properties of a critical phenomena called 3D super crystal, which emerges at "T=" "T" _"C" "-3.5°C" , that is, in proximity of the Curie temperature of the Cu:KTN sample. The dynamics processes of 3D super crystal manifest that its formation contains polarized nanometric regions or/and polarized clusters. However, with strong coupling and interaction of micro components, the characteristic relaxation time, measured by dynamic light scattering, demonstrates fully new relaxation mechanism with much longer relaxation time. As relaxation mechanism of relaxator is so-far undetermined, this research provides a novel perspective. These results can help structure a fundamental theory of ferroelectric relaxation.
